What is a normal white blood cell count?

A normal white blood cell count is the amount of white blood cell in a microliter of blood. The typical range should be between 4,500- 10,000 white blood cells per microliter.
White blood cells are the cells in blood that help the body fight infections. Also called leukcytes, there are five main types, those being basophils, neutrophils, monocytes, lymphocytes, and eosinophils.
Abnormal white blood cell counts could be a result of many different factors. If your white blood cell count is too high, it could be because of
- Bad Bone Marrow
- Liver or Spleen Disease
- Radiation
- Vascular Disease
If your white blood cell count is too high, it could be the result of
- Tissue Damage
- Anemia
- Inflammatory Or Infectious Diseases
- Certain Types Of Cancer
